We are a young, professional, working couple who own this lovely house and like to keep it clean, well-maintained and modern. Our current lodger is moving out in mid-Jan due to finding his own place and so we are looking for someone to take the room from mid Jan 2012 onwards.
All mod-cons with self-catering and bills included in the rent, we are open to students, professionals wanting to commute and those who have pets. We are two minutes walk from Writtle campus. The house is gas centrally-heated with shared use of our bathroom. This has a power shower and bath.
The village amenities include 5 pubs, 2 co-ops open 7 days a week, post office, Barclays bank, 3 restaurants, 3 hairdressers, a butcher, a jewellers, antique shop, pet shop, vet and doctors surgery.
1.5 miles from Chelmsford and Chelmsford mainline into Liverpool Street, London and Ipswich. Regular bus route with bus stop 40 yards down the road from our house, 15 minute cycle ride and 40 minute walk into Chelmsford. If you have a car there is off road parking on our drive and the A414 to Harlow and Southend with the A12 to London and Ipswich running past Chelmsford. These are a 5 minute drive from the house.
Writtle is a very well-kept and welcoming village with a pond and village green. This is an ideal spot for someone wanting to live in a quiet location but with access to a good, buzzy nightlife and ease of transport into London, Ipswich, Harlow, Stansted and Chelmsford.
One month's deposit in advance together with a reference from your employer and previous landlord will be needed. No DSS.
